وقال السيد ملادينوف، في بيان اممي ،وتلقت "شبكة فدكـ" نسخة منه، " مثل تلك الأعمال الإرهابية تبعث على الإزدراء و لا مبرر لها، لأن ممارسة الشعائر الدينية أمر مقدس في كافة الديانات المختلفة ".
وأضاف المبعوث الأممي، "أتقدم بأصدق مشاعر المواساة لأسر الضحايا التي فقدت أفرادا منها في ظروف صعبة". كما أعرب عن إيمانه العميق بأنه لا يمكن لأي عمل ارهابي أن يُثبط العراقيين التواقين للسلام.
Targeting pilgrims is particularly despicable and unjustifiable, UN Envoy says
Baghdad, ١٨ December ٢٠١٣ – The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq (SRSG), Mr. Nickolay Mladenov condemns in the strongest terms the recent spate of attacks deliberately targeting pilgrims commemorating Al-Arba’een.
“Such terrorist acts are particularly despicable and unjustifiable, all the more so since practicing religious duties is revered in all various faiths,” Mr. Mladenov said.
“My profound sympathy goes to the bereaved families of the victims, who have lost their beloved ones in abject circumstances,” the UN Envoy added. He also expressed his strong belief that “no terrorist act can reverse the Iraqi people’s yearning for peace.”
